Amazing
Young Women is an inspirational organisation dedicated to
supporting and helping young women
aged 13 – 19. We
listen to their dreams and help them turn those dreams
into their reality. We focus on who young women want
to be and
can be.
We engage with young women in four ways:
• Innovative and experiential
workshops
• Diverse and creative community work
• Empowering residential programmes
• Inspirational development programmes
Based in the North West, Amazing
Young Women is part of the new wave of organisations developing innovative youth
work,
listening and responding to the needs and wants of our youth.
We actively support the young women we work with to become
involved in the leadership of projects, the work we do locally
and creating our agenda.
We don’t see labels or target
groups - we see young women with incredible potential, and
respond
to that to develop
the whole person: achieving positive results through positive
actions.
Founded by Cheryl Speak, born out of passion
or rather obsession, Amazing Young Women has been over 2 years
in development. Cheryl combines 17 years of working with young
women through various charity projects and Girl Guiding along
with a successful and varied Sales & Management career
within the media industry. Possessing exceptional leadership
and people development skills and a passion for entrepreneurship,
Cheryl brings both knowledge, experience and dedication together
to offer a unique and innovative approach to working with young
women.
